I joined the volunteer fire service in 1995. The fire company I joined took care and pride in their equipment. Trucks were always spotless and won numerous, white glove judged competitions. A few of the older guys there put me through my paces, teaching me the ins and outs and this stuck with me. Some 24 years later, I moved to PA and joined my local fire depot. My pride for the trucks carried, and allowed me to lead the fire company to over 15 First Place wins, including 4 State Titles.
